I've been to lots of slaughter houses, intensive animals farms (chickens and pig ones are unbelievable as are the viel) and pie/ processed meat factories. Its just shocking and makes you realise its just killing on a staggering scale. It really opened my eyes. Its like the Matrix or something. The smell of dead pigs as they they go through a hoop of fire to have their hairs singed off will NEVER make me want to eat a bacon sandwitch again. Also seeing how stripped bits of carcasses are put in a 'reclaimer' which is a big screw/ grinder that squeezes stuff that isn't bone out of tiny holes- and they go into sausages and 'formed' meats.
